Redeemer students use the Writer’s Workshop process

developed by Lucy Calkins ~ Units of Study, Living the Life of a Writer ~

 

During the first trimester, students publish Narrative works of writing, taking their writing through all stages of the writing process and infusing 6+1 traits of writing. Second trimester focuses on Expository works. Third trimester focus on Persuasive writing. At the end of the year, students pick their favorite piece of work to share at Author’s Night.
