CURRICULUM

Redeemer School teaches to the California State Standards, ensuring that each child is provided an education which meets and exceeds the standards created for California public schools.  Redeemer students take the NWEA MAP Growth Test three times a year to assess progress towards standards in reading, language arts, and math.  

 

Transitional Kindergarten:

Students in Redeemer’s transitional kindergarten learn math, science, pre-reading skills, pre-writing skills and Bible through thematic units and engaging play.

Language Arts:

Kindergarten through 2nd Grade: Benchmark Advance 

3rd Grade through 5th Grade: Read Side by Side

6th Grade through 8th Grade: Common Lit 

 

 Social Studies:

Kindergarten through 5th Grade: TCI California

6th Grade through 8th Grade: Created by Redeemer, curated

from Stanford History Education Group and Teaching History

Kindergarten through 8th Grade: Stemscopes Science

Math:

Kindergarten through 8th Grade: Big Ideas Math Common Core 

8th Grade Algebra: Big Ideas Algebra Common Core
